Director: Oreet Rees

Oreet Rees has been working for 20 years in the film industry as a film editor and more recently as a documentary film director. After graduating with a fine Art degree from Pratt Institute, she began her editing career working on the award winning series “National Geographic Explorer”; the feature-length documentary  “Distant Harmony” about the tenor Luciano Pavarotti in China; ”Homeland” a PBS documentary about the immigration to Israel of Jewish dissidents from the Soviet Union.

More recently, Oreet has co directed and edited two feature length documentaries. “King Leopold’s Ghost” which has won numerous awards at film festivals worldwide. And “Withdrawal from Gaza” about the Israeli evacuation from the Gaza Strip (and Northern Samaria) in August 2005.

Throughout, Oreet has also been editing trailers such as the award winning “Moulin Rouge”,” Fight Club” and other trailers as well as TV campaigns for major motion pictures.
